James Warner

Senior Business Partner, Taplow Longitude Management Consulting

James Warner is an Executive Coach, certified in 2003 through Korn Ferry’s intensive coach certification process. Throughout his career he has helped executive teams identify the organizational culture, governance and structure needed for strategic success and helped individual leaders gain personal insights and develop the style and skills needed to ensure their leadership success. This work includes top team facilitation, and assessment and coaching of top executives. He has worked with country and regional level Managing Directors and CEOs and their direct reports in China, Hong Kong, India and Singapore.
 
Dr. Warner leverages his own executive experience in senior roles, management of day-to-day operations and strategy development and implementation in Fortune 100 companies. This experience is overlaid on strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and degrees in psychology, economics and business administration to provide practical, results-based organizational consulting and executive coaching.
 
Before returning to lead The Warner Consulting Group and expand its operation to China, James spent 16 years leading at Korn Ferry International, a global Executive Search and Talent Consulting firm. As a Senior Partner, after building the delivery team in their largest US office, he was assigned to Asia where he spent the last 6 years developing talent across the region as Regional Consulting Director then shifting his focus to the growth of the Greater-China business as Managing Director, China. In these leadership roles, he worked with Western and Chinese CEOs and Managing Directors and gained significant insight into the unique organizational and leadership needs of businesses. He is also a Vistage Private Advisory Board Chair working with a group of CEOs in China.
 
Dr. Warner holds a PhD in Human Development with a focus on leadership development. He is a certified coach and holds certifications for a number of executive assessment tools. He conducts research and publishes about characteristics of successful East Asian and Western leaders.
